Enterprise Imaging and Archive

Enterprise wide imaging (EWI) is defined as using a single location for storing all images used for medical diagnosis and treatment in a single storage area (server). We believe that EWI will be the predominant model for image storage and access in the future. We designed this survey to get a better understanding of the current state of implementation of EWI, attitudes toward and understanding of EWI, as well as your opinions on EWI.

EWI will be an important focus of transition in the future with consolidation of the electronic health record.

Please consider the following framework when reviewing this survey: a single storage for all hospital DICOM-compatible devices, a unified database schema for all imaging specialties, a single sign-on mechanism for referring physicians, standard cross-specialty hanging protocols, single-point integration with Electronic Health Records and a Personalized Patient Record created on transportable media (such as CDs or Flash Drives). This survey should take no more than 5 minutes of your time.
